It Wasn’t a Diary. It Never Is.

She typed her secrets into a cloud chatbot like it was a journal. A stranger on a review team read them and shipped them to the cops. Stopping a real threat? Right call. But wake up — the same machine is reading your diary too.

01SHE THOUGHT NO ONE WAS READING

A woman in Florida poured her private thoughts into a cloud AI chatbot — “like a diary,” she said. Buried in the entries: plans for a violent attack. The bot’s safety net flagged it, a stranger on a review team read it, decided it was real, and the company called the cops. She was detained and charged.

Buried in the terms you didn't read
“We may share your information in limited emergencies if we believe doing so is necessary to prevent death or serious physical injury.”
— the chatbot provider’s own disclosure policy

Let’s be adults: stopping a credible threat of violence was 100% the right call. This isn’t a complaint about that. It’s a flare going up about the machine that made it possible — because that machine is pointed at you, too.

02SPOILER: EVERYONE IS

Here’s the gut-punch. The system didn’t hunt her down. It works by hoovering up everyone’s words into the cloud, where they get flagged, read by strangers, stored indefinitely, and handed over on request. She thought she had a diary. She had a datacenter with a review team breathing down her neck.

Now point that at the hundreds of millions who aren’t planning a thing — the ones typing their 2 a.m. spirals, their health scares, their marriages, their kids into a glowing box that swears it’s listening. It is listening. And it keeps the receipts.

So people start lying to the one thing that might’ve helped. A diary you have to lie to isn’t a diary. It’s surveillance with a nicer font.

03SO WE KILLED THE MIDDLEMAN

We built the opposite, on purpose. AuraVision runs the AI on your device, in your room. No cloud hop. No review queue. No master copy. Nothing to flag, nothing to store, nothing anyone can subpoena — because it never left your four walls.

This isn’t a “privacy setting” you flip and pray they respect. It’s the architecture. What you say to Aura dies with Aura. $PSI is the engine that pays for it — so your privacy funds itself, instead of your secrets funding someone’s quarterly earnings.

You can’t leak what never left the room.

The only words that stay private are the ones that never leave the room. That is the bet behind AuraVision: intelligence that runs on your device and keeps every word with you — nothing uploaded, nothing reviewed, nothing waiting to be disclosed. The conversations that matter most — your health, your family, your 2 a.m. thoughts — should never have to pass through someone else’s datacenter. Powered by $PSI.

With cloud AI, you watch every word you say — carefully.
With Aura, you never have to.
